2010 Winners:

Nate Nalven
Northrop Grumman

In the words of COE President, Tom Crume:

Nate has been an active leader in the advancement and interests of the COE Community for a quarter of a century. He has been a strong consumer advocate and has negotiated solutions to critical issues and requirements with IBM and Dassault Systèmes.

Nate has been active since becoming a member in 1984. He’s attended almost every Annual Conference and was a founder and leader of the Aerospace, Defense & Shipbuilding Workshops.

He was elected to the COE board of directors in 2004, currently holding the role of treasurer, in addition to his long-standing roles on the Finance Committee, the Vendor Relations Committee and as Board liaison for the A D & S workshop. He will be ending his long, illustrious term on the board this year.

During Nate’s tenure, he’s held roles as member and chair of many Process and Product committees. He’s also been our moderator and chairman of the COE Forum.

Lee Encapera
Dassault Systèmes

Lee has been a significant individual contributor to the COE manufacturing community for many years. This all began by presenting his manufacturing tips and techniques during technical breakout sessions at our Annual Conferences. He’s shared his experience, insight, knowledge and solutions on several manufacturing issues and as a result, won numerous Manufacturing Best Presentation Awards.

Lee is regarded as an expert in applications for CATIA manufacturing products and has also shared his expertise in our Ask the Experts Webcasts.

As Lee continues to expand his efforts to the broader realm of PLM, the COE Community will benefit from his knowledge and experiences. But because of Lee’s dedication, our Manufacturing Division continues to be a cohesive and innovative organization.
