COE Award of Merit
This award is conferred annually to honor outstanding individual(s) from COE member companies, who in the judgment of Honor Awards Committee, have made valued, balanced contributions to the COE professional activities and growth. The Award of Merit is conferred upon an individual - not the indivdual's company. The emphasis is on the person's accomplishments as an individual rather than his/her company.

Gary Horynak from IBM
In the words of COE Board Member
David Aber, Ph. D.:
Gary Hornyak is a highly regarded individual that has promoted excellence in the Infrastructure within the COE Organization. His contribution and professionalism have been demonstrated throughout the years of active service in the COE organization. He has also promoted many working relationships outside the National Conferences (now Annual Conference program) and Industry Workshops.
Gary has served COE and made contribution over many years. He has been a speaker, bringing technology updates to the organization. He has been a Chairman and also Division Manager. He has dedicated many hours in the early day of setting and verifying Training Rooms. He has also played an important role in getting our Workshops started. The most recent example is the Development and Deploy Workshop.
Throughout all this contribution he has managed to build and maintain a good working relationship with COE’s Founding Partners – IBM and Dassault Systemes.
Throughout all the years he has been sponsored by his company. However, His contribution to our organization has been borne with individual passion and personal effort.
