Good Morning

Requirment : I need to create a catalog which will create a set of constrained holes along with Patterns.

A set of holes means there are more than one type of hole. For eg.2

Problem:  dia8 holes will be in prespecified body and the threaded holes will be in another body.

I know i can do this using a catscript. But it can be a tedious job 'coz i have many different types of Hole Sets. with many different types of holes.

creating the catalog is not the problem.i am able to instantiate the holes.

Any solution for this problem ? Point me in the right direction.

I believe this a job for the knowledge advisor.

Thanks and regards

Varun Gopinath

You don't say what your problem is... but to me it sounds like primarily a job for Power Copy possibly using knowledge advisor Action to instantiate them or alternatively UDFs and Knowledge Pattern.

Hi,
Sorry, if i had not made it clear earlier.
The problem is that for eg. Holes with tolerance H7 or F8 to be in a specified Body. and Threaded holes to be in another specified body.

Please see attachment.

But the catalog will have many Sets( of Holes). Each set of holes will have 2 different types of  Holes. (For eg. 2 H7 Holes and 2 Threaded will be one set of hole.)

The user will instantiate the require set depending on his/her use.

How do i go about making sure that the H7 holes are kept in the right body and the threaded holes are also kept in the right body

Regards

Varun Gopinath
