Hello,

I am running an optimization loop in PEO on an FEA analysis.  The optimization has some constraints, parameters to change with limits, etc.  The optimization runs fine and I get my results with no issues, but after clicking OK, all my settings are gone and I have to re-set up the optimization if I want to run it again.

If I make an optimization with a part or assembly open, the optimization is created under the Relations->Optimizations node and I can open it back up and run it again.  However, this does not happen when I make the optimization from an FEA model.  I have tried creating the optimization with the product active, but then it won't let me pick any of the forces, sensors, etc. from the FEA model in the optimization.

Does anyone know how to retain optimization settings in an FEA model?

Thanks,

-Dave

Hello,

There is also a relations node in CATAnalysis models. I don't remember where is the setting that allows to show it, but if you activate it, you should be able to retrieve your optimization specifications.

Awesome, this helps a lot! Just in case anyone else needs to know, I found it under:

Tools->Options->Analysis & Simulation (node)->General (tab)->Specification Tree->"Show Parameters" -and- "Show relations"

Thanks knowledgeds!
