Please!

Let it be automatic that when rotating something on your screen with your 3Dconnexion device, that it always rotates about the center of your screen. Regardless of axis system or whatever!

Center Mouse button click!

Center Mouse button click!

Center Mouse button click!

Center Mouse button click!

ENOUGH! Let's fix this Please!

When I zoom in on some feature, rotate about that!

AND!

When Going out of MFG and into Part Design/Generative Shape. WHY! Does the Tree auto expand all your MO's What gives! That is just plain fustrating!

Phil,

I talked about the colapsing windows, 3 eyars ago.
The best way is open new window, which is why sp3+4 are unusable.

Whats with the cat?

Oh hell I don't know. Just thought it would make someone smile. Don't want anyone thinking I was mad when I posted.

Oh ,.... you hate the mouse. Dohhhh

Good Answer. I'll go with that one.

Nice teeth
I've been having issues with Spaceballs on Vista 64.
It seems like 3Dconnexion is having a tough time keeping up.
I went to the 3Dconnexion forum and found other complaints.

Boy if I had a time machine.

tecktronix 4107 (7,000$)

DBFN/ BAE_RIB_4_AFT,1,TIT
GET / ALL
DBFN / CLOSE, 1

Draft / origin= 174.0, 65.3, scale=.126
erase / all
Display / LN,CI, CI

How good we have it now.

Change of subject

Yes Phil I agree. I think a good implementation would be tools+Options + Display
[ ] Allways use screen center as spin center.

JM6C
Dave

And I it was there I would use it.

Hey,

Anyone want to come over for the Superbowl?
I am having a few people over.
Nothing extravagant like the 50th birthday.

I have the Saints in the company pool

Phil,

I think I have asked that before few years ago and only software does it is UG. You dont have to pick center of rotation after zooming, panning. But it still allows user to pick center of rotation for precise control.

It wold be great if this can be implemented in Catia as well.

Another thing I miss from UG is Middle Button Mouse Click for OK/Apply command which keeps things faster without moving mouse over to OK/Apply button.

Okay Dave...don't get me started...

The good old days...I still do it that way sometimes...here's a simple program I did for an easy lathe part recently...(I don't own any real graphics CAM system for lathes...poor me....)

Note the cool way of setting colors for on-screen "backplot" if you want to call it that... Woohoo! Graphics! Yes, indeed...we have it pretty good.

If all this APT referencing pushes CATIA/Dassault to head down that road, which I highly doubt but who knows, I am going to be soooooooooooooooo pee'd off! lol

What the hell are you guys talking about , Donna Summer and Barbara Strisand?

OH... Catia

There was a guy named Shane, that started a thread...... The death of Apt I think.......

As Dr Fronkinsteen  ( Mell Brooks Version)  said. Death does not intrest me... only LIFE

Personaly, I'd like to see some of the Good stuff from Apt, put into V5, as a final resort, when you can not get exactly what you want, or when a simple macro, will do the job.

We have been down this road before

Ha.ha...Just wanted to stir the pot a little...brain is completely fried...so much work it's really pretty overwhelming...2 years of work with 6 mos to 1 year lead time...

Dave...a big Donna Summer Barbara Streisand fan? I don't think I'd admit to something like that...just kidding!

What was the topic? Spaceballs? Yes, I like to click my spaceballs, but the left one stopped working the other day, so now I only have one.

I'm a real power user. I use two spaceballs at the same time so I can spin 2 bulkheads in unison on 2 of 4 gigantic monitors while I laugh maniacally.

I mean the left spaceball button stopped working. My (space)balls are both working just fine. It sucks. I only have two buttons...and used them both a lot....especially when modeling and drafting.

By the way Phil...I'd hold off on going to Windows 7...I hear bad things about using it and Catia...but never hear anything bad about XP64 and Catia.
