Hi you all,

I got some files (from a supplier without Absolute Axis Systems) and I have to send them to Renault. Is there any chance to recover this Axis?(if not, the files wont pass PQA).

Another question: is there any way to locate and change the CATPart UUID in ".txt" format in order to relink a CATDrawing with a new CATPart if the question of the Absolute Axis System does not work?

Thanks in advance 4 your help.

Javier

Every CATPart has an implicit Axis System, you can choose to show it or not from the beginning in Tools - Option - Part Infrastructure - Part Document - When Creating CATPart.

You can't change UUID.

Morning Fernardo,

thanks for your answer. I know that Axis is implicit, but supplier erased the Absolute Axis System (I don't understand why is not protected as Catia4) and there is no way to publish it.
If there is not way to get back this Axis the file wont pass the Renault "PrescientQA", besides if I make in a new CATPart (copy+paste the right bodys) the CATDrawing associated does not keep the links and I did not find any way to edit/modify/break/ to a new CATPart.

I think it is a little hard to resolve.

Regards,
Javier

Hi Javier, Save Manager the original file to a directory. Copy all the bodies and content of the original part to a new part with the required Absolute axis system embedded within, save this new part to the directory of the original part as the original name, overwriting the geometry inside, but retaining the link to the drawing. Close all the windows and then re-open the original part and drawing. The drawing views may be broken and require relinking through the RMB modify link of each view, this can be completed by multi selecting the views using shift key and then RHB modify link. A message may appear stating that the views will are broken, ignore and proceed with replacing the link.

Thank U Daytonswan,

unfortunatelly in my case it seems that does not works (I think I did right), but the interface does not allow my to change the "Pointed Elements". please find attached hardcopy.

PS. Somebody tell me that is possible to change the UUID, probably wants to pay him. Is he kidding me?

Morning GANESH,

I did that Daytonswan explained and with "Remove" option and finally it works. There is no problem to relink the files to CATDrawing.

Thanks you all for your help.

Javier
