hello,

I have a projet to migrates the data base from vpm with Catia V4 to Smarteam Catia V5.

anybody has experiences with this topic???

it is possible?? how can I try the rotation and translation matrix??,, etc

Sorry to reply a bit late (I do not get anymore subscription to Enovia Forum)
In my company we were running VPM 1.5 with CATIA V4
- data stored on DBLFCAT , : with native .model files
- no configuration used in VPM : only basic PSN tree
So I have made a few application to migrate the data
- transfert SQL meta data from DB2-AIX to a Windows SQL Server (most complicate was to transfert the COID , because this type of data is a bit special)
- create a VB form to perform Query on the Microsoft-SQL database
-- List of Part - Model
-- Display content of a product in a EXCEL file
- craete a Macro to convert a VPM Assembly , into a CATProduct (read VPM Position Matrix)
CATIA V5R18SP6 Windows XP
2006 : CATIA V4 and VPM have been stop
SCM : Staubli Catia Management , 150 users , 5 sites , 300 000 ref , no trouble !
