Hi,

I am trying to calculate the length (l), breadth (b) and height (h) of a CATProduct/ CATPart in V5 through code. I thougth of creating a bounding box for this purpose and then to retrieve its l, b and h. However, it is not happening so. I also tried to calculate l, b and h from the Inertia matrix/ Principal Axes. However, I feel that methodology would be faulty.

Please update me how I must approach this problem. If possible, please provide me a sample code.

I don't really know why programmers must suffer this much in this environment to find such a simple thing which all CAD packages must be providing directly.

Best Regards,

Arun Ashok
