what is the difference between option 'Synchronous' and 'Update relation at global update command'  available on Check property tab?

For checks, formulaes, and rules:
When synchronous, they are evaluated as soon as an input parameter is modified. Parameters are simple values and wireframe datums (points, surfaces, ...). If a relation is not synchronous, it is not evaluated just after the parameter modification, but when update mechanism asks for update (sometimes never, if relation outputs are not used by other object), or when using dedicated update command in KWA workbench, or Local Update command

When those kind of relations have input objects that are not parameters (for instance a pad), there is no automatic evaluation mechanism. The second setting forces the evaluation during part update.
