Dear friends,

I am trying to create helical surface with .dwg profile which I must open from some folder.

How can I insert .dwg (.dxf) block or file into sketcher and use it as profile? Can it be done with some macro?

When I create helical line (with .catvba macro) I must select plane in which I want to paste .dwg or .dxf profile of helical surface. After that I need to continue with same macro. Is it possible?

Thanks,
Sasa Cukovic

I believe that you can do it without some macro,
firstly, you open profile (.dxf block) with catia drafting, then you insert a part , copy the profile to sketcher and use it as profile,
I hope my description can help you to understand this problem,

Mandy
