Hello KnowledeEd:

I took the PktTemplate.CAPart supplied with V5 Help. I followed the Instructions for setting up the directory structure. Find a copy of the directory structure. Still, I am getting a Knowledge Pattern.1 error and I quote-->

"The string "PktARMcatalog3|UserFeature2" given as identifier in the method CreateOrModifyTemplate is not correct:
either the catalog PktARMcatalog3 does not exist or the catalog description UserFeature2 does not exist."

"The resource with logical name UserFeature2 found in the catalog V:\Pilots\BrianP\K-Excercises\KnowledgePattern\knowledgeResourcesCatalogs\PktARMcatalog3.catalog is not a CATIA Document (type UserFeature: it is not supported by ARM) or the reference contained in the catalog is not correct."

The PktARMCatalog3 file is there in the "KnowledgeResourcesCatalogs" directory. Find a screen dump of the Error. What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks for your help....in advance.

Hi Brian,

- Make sure the 4 required ARM keywords exist in your catalog (and only those 4 - no addtl allowed)
- Make sure that item in your catalog has the Logical Name keyword set to "UserFeature2" (also I think this is case sensitive)
- In tools options, you need to make sure that CATIA knows about you knowledge directories

Good luck...

Mike
