I wrote a System of Equations in KWA, (say 3 Equations and 3 unknowns). Note, the System of Equations does not get updated automatically even though old values for some of the constants are changed.
In order to Update:
I have to double click on the Relations\Equations.1 and manually Click “Apply” in a new window.

Questions:
Do you know how best to accomplish the “update” without KWA “Apply” provision or without writing a significant amount of KWA or VB Scripts code. What are the different ways of updating the SOEs automatically? (Without any manual “apply” provision)

My preferences:
(1) How could we trigger an update when some of the "constant" value parameters in the SOEs are changed -- without a manual “Apply” provision.
(2) How could we do this with only a few KWA command-type provisions, if any?
Thanks,

Hi,
First let me make one correction >> Its "Set of Equations" and not "System of Equations".

I tried to figure out what the problem is... by creating a part with few real parameters >> then in KWA created a set of equation >> added few equations for above created parameters >> solve it. The values get automatically updated. Ok.... then what I did is closed the set of equations box >> changed the values of constant parameters from specification tree.... and unknown parameter values changed automatically. are u not geting this results as i get? Is that what u wanted to say? or ur problem is something else, which i didnt understand? If u r not getting it updated automatically, try to find out if auto update is checked in tools -> options settings.

Brian,

I have noticed some strange behavior on this subject.

For me this seems to make it work as you desire:

Go to the properties of the SOE object.
Turn off the check for Synchronous
Turn on on the check for Update relation at global update command.
Turn on the check for Synchronous again.

I had assumed that these two options were exclusive of each other. When I rechecked Synchronous and Update relation at global update command stayed checked as well I realized they are not.

Give it a try.
