I had asked in the generic Forum a question that perhaps more promperly belongs here...

Does anyone know whether Catia can convert 106 (Copious Data) records of Type 12 with IP=2, which IGES describes as points of a piecewise linear curve?  In reading the Catia Documentation I get conflicting indications about whether or not Copious Data is acceptable.  Or perhaps you can refer me to someone else that would know for certain.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear RCross,

Catia has supported IGES 106, Type 12, IP=2 for years. However, the Catia IGES processor often stops supporting items in new version that it successfully supported in old versions. The only way to test is to make and IGES file with such an entity and translate it in. If you wish, you can label the entity or put it into a special color or layer in order to isolate in the Catia file so that you can be certain it is there.

Good luck.
