As an automotive subsupplier using Inventor we have to provide our customer with positioned assemblies. Our customer claims that he cannot open our STEP files in Catia and wants us to provide him with IGS files of the single parts wich he then reassembles. To be able to retain position data, we then have to provide a dummy part within each file.
Does anyone have experience on import/export settings that might work?

Per,

Before you beat your head against the wall ---
What error message is your customer getting when
they do the STEP translation?

If they won't open, then it could be a setting
that just needs to be toggled on your end.
