While running the V4 CATIGE Utility, we get the error message that says that IGES entity 106 cannot be processed. I searched the documentation for entity 106 and found nothing. Can anyone tell me what IGES entity 106 is and what might trigger this error message?

Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

IGES 106 ("Copious data entity") is a set of points in the form of pairs, triples or sextuples. The "Form" variable defines what the points represent and there are 18 forms in IGES 4.0 (and possibly more in later versions), so maybe the translator does not recognize the form in your IGES file. "Form" is field 15 in the directory section, if you post it I could probably tell you what you are looking for.

Yoram,

Thanks for the information. I forwarded it to the gentleman who reported the problem to me, but have not heard back. Hopefully, your information provided the clue he needed to unravel the mystery.
