Is it just me, or does it appear that people are trying to sabotage this forum? These people can't really be lost.

Roger,
I'm sure this 2008 Annual Conference forum will retire at some point from the web-site. The new home for the training and education forum will take it's place and the content will be managed for the long term. COE members will have to log onto the site to see the contents.

The Training forum that you linked to is for Members only. I guess that just means you have to be a COE forum member. Not a COE member.
I would hate to see all of the forums become (paying) COE members only forums because that would lock out 99% of the usual contributors including my students.
I am beginning to understand what the problem is.

The forums will remain free for the foreseeable future. We require registration primarily to keep the SPAM postings out (we are not completely successful, however).
We do have several private forums that are for COE members only. We are trying to increase the value of the forums for the Membership. The training forum that Colleen mentioned above is the location where we will be posting the training materials that we collect at the Conferences and Workshops (which you have to be a Member to attend as well).
This forum was started primarily to discuss the annual conference. |
