They added the ability in R18 to create a catpart from a catproduct that is associative.  Maybe this can be used with Deepak's DML method?  Just program from the new associative catpart, and will it automatically reassociate if a part in the product is changed

Hmmm...I wonder if having fewer catparts, but more partbody's in MFG would help performance...
