They added New R18 Multi-axis sprial milling.

I like it because it works like curve machining, only with you can have tlaxis normal, instead of lead lag, but .... I can't find a way to offest the soft guide contour.

I have solution with the Catia I have today.

Curve offset, not nessissary, Guide faces + offest on Guide faces, gives the desriable Miltiaxis motion.

One of my better co-workers banged on it until this discovery.Good job Mr. G.

But then your offsetting the guide faces (which may need to be hard guides) as well as the soft guide contour. I was expecting / hoping it would act a bit like an open pocket MO. 

You can also get similar results using spiral milling and convert to 5 axis (if using a ballnose tool), you also get a few more options on the 'global modification' tab.
