I haven't installed it.  INCAT tells me that some people are having problems with it and Catia, so consider this a warning... Anybody have any comments?  Is XP SP3 safe to use with Catia?  I say if it ain't broke...so I'm probably going to wait it out.

Seems like a good idea to hold back Bryan.
You've had enough trouble.

I run Vista on my home computers.
MS changed too much on Vista.
Expect a shock when you switch to it.

If you use SmarTeam, do not install it, otherwise you should be OK. I had many problems with SP3 & STeam, has to wipe the machine clean & start a fresh

Ever since I installed it, My machines seemed to have come to a crawl.... could be other things causing it but really have not installed anything since so I tend to believe it is the culprit.
I am ready to reinstall XP fresh on 2 or more machines. Not looking forward to that.

I've been on SP3 since the RTM (release to manufacturer version) was available on Microsoft FTP. This was about 2 weeks before the actual debut of SP3 and since then I didn't had any issue with CATIA V5R18SP5.

Although, I must admit that my working environment is a little bit less demanding since I only use CATIA in a very limited ways (only test and basic mfg program).

Edited:
By the way, if you made most of your weekly Windows XP update the step between SP2 + update and SP3 is very small.  Some key features like IP V6, keyless product installation, "black hole" detection and so on were only implemented in SP3 but most of the update were already release with Microsoft Update.

I run R16 and now my BOM won't export to an Excel file but R17 will.  Just got to remember not to save after I export the BOM out of R17.....
