oops. I need to get a life outside of programming. We only have exactly 20 projects to work on...and a 10 day vacation next week in Europe...talk about stress! Okay, nobody better call in the next week to ask for programming. I've been saying I won't take any more work for the last 12 parts, now...I have to draw the line somewhere!!!

Well, it's nice. Especially considering this is the first year I've actually had vacation time in almost 17 years of working!!! Too bad, it's not paid time...LOL! Kind of hard to take a vacation, when it means- no money coming in, and only spending money- lots. But, we can't just live to work.

I'll let you know when it is over.

when I bought the house, I looked at the situation.
I am at the east edge of a brush zone
Santa Anna winds blow west.

So a couple years ago, the fires got close, but burned out at the engineered fire saftey zone, a 300 yard buffer zone between the wilderness, and my street. That was when the home was just 2 x 4's. the wind was blowin the other way

I have a 270 deg view, so I have great visibility
once these start, they burn for days.
When I get some time I will post some picks, from my backyard

This is pic is from my home, saturday morning.

Now at 6PM, The misses says that it is now coming down this hill, but still about 10 miles away.

You have to feel for the people that lost their homes.

I am quite sure that this has been the worst residential area fires that SoCal has ever seen in one year.  Glad to hear you came out of it ok again Dave.

This is what it was like at my house earlier today. Moving closer to my house. Photo taken from my back yard standing on top the pool slide.
