Does anyone have any interest in this?  A friend and fellow business owner (His business is creating automation scripts for Catia MFG) built a script recently that goes throught the catprocess after you're done (or while programming for that matter) and automatically renames all MO's.  I wanted this so it would be easier to find MO's for editing or checking, and also so that my programs would have some type of logic to them rather than just haphazard numbers placed randomly (which is how it appears once I'm done with a large process- organizing, copy-pasting paths, making changes in tool orders, whatever...).

Anyways, now I can click a button and all paths are automatically named LOGICALLY.

So Profile.1, .2,.3, etc..Pocketing.1, .2, .3 automatic and the whole thing looks really clean.

If anyone has interest in this, please contact me and I will let you know how to get it.

Please note:  I have no financial gain in this.  I'm posting this because I think it's a really great tool and will make our programs easier to edit, and give the paths a naming convention that is logical, professional, and neat.  Plus one really wouldn't need to use the search command as much, because there is a numerical order.

You have it. I'v made some scripts in Catia mfg. So it is easier for me to create a new one based on those. I cannot list all the mo's types due to the license limit. You can add to it if you have some MOs not listed in the file, you can also expand the size of tha arrays if 50 is not enough.

Happy renaming

The file extension should be .CATScript, I could not attach the file with it, so i changed it to .txt. Just change it back to .CATScript

I am in Toronto, I'm sorry I cannot attend the RUG although I love to.

Yes, but my new one works even better! It organizes ALL types of MO's including tool changes regardless of license. I can also rename MO's as I choose, and it will organize those as well using whatever naming convention I choose without changing my notes. And it does all this in about 1 second.
