I've been machining point clouds, occassionally, for the
better part of a year so I think I've got a clue but not
much more.

As with most things, explaining is more difficult than doing.

I will work up a document to help guide you if you wish or
you can e-mail me for specific tips.
The doc needs to be done for others in my work group anyway.

Later,
Larry

I had seen a message that mentioned that you were going to make a doc explaining machining .stl, have you made one?

I just wanted to know the process of CNC from an .stl. Can the .stl go straight to the NC programming software or does it need to be
processed some how. And how do you set up seam or part lines or designate check surfaces?

If you could answer I would appreciate it.

Thank you MJ
