I need to compare models and more importantly notes and anotations in the model tree. I am aware of the "Compare" function for models and drawings. Is there anyway to compare the model tree items? I'm looking for Annotation and Flag Note changes for example.

Did a search and found this thread. And I want to compare 2 models. I just do not want to leave it up to whether they disclosed all info and what was changed. I cannot find the "Compare" button. I must be blind.
Normally I would place the two inside a product and change them to contracting colors. Visually look and check closely including the mass of both models. Also noting the obvious that the customer has dictated.
I am looking for a more accurate way of this process where Catia tells me what is different.

Yes I assume I do not have a lic.

Help if you can Thanks. Phil

If you have the SP1 or SPA license, there is a perfect function to compare old and new versions of a part/model.

If you don't have it, I haven't found a better way to compare than the way you described.  I've never tried this, but it just popped into my head.  Maybe something using the interect boolean operation will give you some added material?!?

Gentlemen

1.  I have messed around with DMU and Clash, and did not get the results I wanted. That does not mean that the problem is Catia. Could be pilot error. I never got any training on clash. Just experiment and RTFM.

2. Vericut and autodiff is my favorite method to compare models, because you see VOLUMES, of added and removed material

3. The folks at Rand demo's some Kubotek software at the SOCAL RUG meeting, last month. That software is supposed to do this, among other things. I saw the demo, and thought, buying this software is a not brainer. but I have the brain, and the ball, but not the buck

4. There is a Webinar, on software that is supposed to do this TOMORROW

5. I am thinks this is a BP of DS, and I know RAND is a PB of DS

6. here are the details
