Does anyone have an issue with releasing Electrical data into PLM/ Teamcentre??
Basically we take the circuit info from Zuken/ CHS and import into Catia 3D model. Do the automaic wire routing and everything works fine. However when we release into PLM and then go to open the harness model from PLM all the wire information has dissapeared.

Connector detail views in Catia V5.

Does anyone have a quick way of creating for example a rear face connector 2D detail view? We are using them for the 2D circuit design as NFIG's. However the process we are using to create them is very long winded so i was wondering if there is any easy way?

Cheers

Does anyone create anything within the harness 3D model to show the variation in tolerence/ movement etc etc?
If so is there any easy way of doing it other than creating surface data around the harness? Is there some sort of simulation that can be done? If so how is this done?

Thanks again for the help

Do you have an example i could follow for the formula, publication and process?

I will over the hollidays put together a data pack for you to review.  Do you have access to DS to ask about your specific configuration?  Most of the time this is used for cable ties and other device that must adapt to the outside diamter of the bundle segement.  More to come...

Gregg,
Since V5R12 the Kinematic Simulation of Contextual Parts has been turned off. You will need to request from your DS contact an environmental variable that turn this back on.
