Hello,

I have drawn a a revolution part (as you can se in the file attached). I'd like to to have view which enables me to see the inside of the part. For example, i'd like to see 3/4 o the part and 1/4 of the part is hiden.

Do somebody know how i can do it ?

Thank you in advance

Ben

3D Section View only works in Assembly. Drop the part into an assembly and it's called Sectioning.

Otherwise you'd make a drafting view.

In drafting, you can add a Section View as shown below

Hello,

I tried to create by the other way that is to say with the drawing.

I create a drawing and my part or the assembly where i drop my part are created.

But to drop my part into a drawing doesn't run. How do i do to create a drawing after i have created a part ?

Thank you for your help

No offense Ben, but your questions are "how do I use CATIA 101". While I personally do not know of any CATIA books that I personally recommend, I don't think the use of the forums for such basic questions is appropriate. Others may disagree. Might I suggest you refer to the CATIA help docs or the CATIA user guide or some form of training.

No problem i agree with you.

But i don't have the CATIA documentation.

Do you know where it's possible to get such information ? (website ...)

Thank you in advance

I have to agree with the others, Ben. As Yogi Berra once said, "you can learn alot by taking a training class"

Back to your original question: the Sectioning tool in the Assembly Design workbench only does planar cuts.

You could "section" your 3D part by adding a pocket to remove the 1/4 section.
