Subject: How to Concatenate Curves in Drafting?

Anybody know how to do this? I'd like to join the solid middle curves together as one and offset that curve like the phantom curves shown, but can't figure out how to do it. I'm running an HD2 license for V5R16. I see you can do this in 3d with the Freestyle license, but I don't have that license. See the attached picture.

Gary,

Copy / Paste the View in a CATPart. This will give you a sketch where you can use the offset tools... Saving you $$$$ FSS license !

Sorry for not responding earlier. So I guess there is no way to concatenate curves in Drafting? I'm pretty sure you could do this in V4, but I haven't seen anything like it in V5, but that could be just a problem with the seat-to-keyboard interface.

This is not concatenate, however, it may get you the desired result. Using Offset from the Transformation toolbar, with Point or Tangency Propogation and Both Sides Offset toggled, might get you what you are looking for.

Yeah, I was just hoping I could make one curve with the ability to break it to its sub-elements later on for editing purposes. I suppose I could do something like make a sketch in 3D, offset like Eric suggested, and then turn on wireframe projection in that drawing view, but it seems like a whole lot of work for a nickel. Thanks to all for the help though.
