My co-worker has me stumped. He's working on a part defined with several PartBodies. Often (but not always) when he adds a PartBody, he get the Added PartBody, but the original PartBody is still there. Now he has two of the same PartBody. They behave as if they are linked together - change one and the other changes as well.

(it's like when you make a sketch in a Geo Set, and you use it in a PartBody - you see the sketch twice in the tree)

I tried it on my machine, but it behaves different for me. I don't end up with two PartBodies in the tree.

Is there a Tools Option for Boolean Operations to copy PartBodies?

It sounds like a mix of hybrid and non-hybrid environments. If memory serves me correctly (it is in the help docs) the part bodies will be yellow.

Thanks for the response Gary. I think you're on the right track.

We have Hybrid Design deactivated here, so that's not the problem.

But this particular part has Geo Sets within PartBodies and that seems to trigger the 'problem.'

If we boolean a PartBody above the imbedded Geo Set, everything is fine. The PartBody moves under the boolean as is normal.

But if we boolean below the imbedded Geo Set, then the PartBody is duplicated. The PartBody shows up twice in the tree, each containing a list of all the features.
