hi

I have a problem in CATIA R18 drafting .

when I generate a dimention according to a part sometimes it is gray some times it is red

pink , blue and other colors . but in the graphic properties the color is black !

and when I print the paper the dimensions that they are not black in the display they are printed as dot lines . how can I solve this problem ?

please help me ! thanks

Hi Mohammed,

Hope ur trying to give dimensions through fillets, assuming that as an edge. So, its a fillet, ur dim will come in grey in color.

You have dimension diagnostics turned on. The color of the dimension is telling you whether or not the dimension is isolated, associative, not updated, etc.

Look under TOOLS, OPTIONS, MECHANICAL DESIGN, DRAFTING, Dimension, Analysis Display Mode. If you select the Types and Colors button, you will see what the meaning of each color is (note: these are editable, so your system may be different than someone else's).

As for the printing, print in Black & White rather than Greyscale.
