Hi all,

Simple question.

I try to save a product document to a 3DXML file.

As I try to open the file using the 3DXML Viewer (v5.0.8156)
From: http://www.3ds.com/products/3dvia/3d-xml/1/
...I get:

"
Cannot open 3D XML file.
3DXML contains only Authoring Data
"

For some file it works, for some files not.
What is wrong?
How do I deal with it easilly.

Thank you!
/Henrik

Just a basic question first, does the product itself have some associated components with 3D geometry? And are at least some of those enabled and visible?

I've personally not run into this error message before. It seems rather unusual.

The product itself has several associated components.

There are several 3D geometries visible.

I noticed something interesting.

There seams to be some kind of connection to the error and by using FrameOfInterest and Frames, which is used somtimes to build kinematic devices or as tags for programming robots etc. in DELMIA V5. I did not solve it I just removed all frames and then I got this error message:

"Some relative matrix are not isometric. Visualization could be incorrect"

I think Dassault has do to do their homework. These kind of error never happened in older versions on 3DXML.

By the way I use R17 when I create the 3DXML files.

I lost track of this thread unfortunately, but as luck would have it I had this issue come up just today.

I was opening one of our standard 3DXML's that we output and I received the "some relative matrix are not isometric" error. I'm not sure how we would be getting this error as we don't use the features you mentioned. I'll have to look into the model itself and see what, if anything, might be remarkable enough about it to cause this.
