When using Automatic Wire Routing I would like the wire to come from my Electrical Catalog, but I am unsuccessful. In this situation I am working with the following:

  1. Electrical Catalog defining "wire X" (mapped in Tools, Options)
  2. XML defining logical cable containg "wire X"
  3. GBN matching logical cable as defined in XML
  4. EBN associated to GBN (both are inside a top assembly)

Automatic Wire Routing successfully routes "wire X", but the report lists the wire's Origin as "New" rather than "From Catalog." This is easily confirmed via the Part Number and by comparing the electrical properties of the new wire versus the wire found in the catalog.

My intuition leads me to look at how the catalog is configured and perhaps how the wire is mapped in the Options settings, but so far I have had no success when tweaking these options. Has anyone had success at this and if so, more importantly, do you have any insight? Thank you.
