At my company, we use different versions of V5 and periodically inadvertantly save a R16 file in R17. This of course makes it impossible to open in V5 R16. I know there is a way to make Catia show which version you have open in the window border display (see attachment) but I don't know how. Catia's default is simply "CATIA V5" at the top of the window. What is the setting to change this to "CATIA V5 R16" or similar to represent which release you are in?
Thanks in advance...
Jon
Hi,
I don't know if this is the best way to do it but....
In the CATIA.CATNls file (open with notepad) edit the ApplicationFrame.Title line to reflect the application level you want.
E.g.: ApplicationFrame.Title = "CATIA V5R18 SP6"

Guys,
Thanks for the quick response and links. I changed the CATIA.CATNls file with a different application frame title, simple as that.
Again thanks a lot for your time...
