Hello,
I am attempting to get an installation of Catia V5R18 running off of a network app server. Both the environment and the application itself are being served off of a network share; the only thing installed to the end users' machines is a shortcut to said application. We've done this exact install process in the past with R16 and 17 without issue, but for some reason, R18 will not start on any other machine besides the one it was initially installed on (we basically copied the install from a workstation to the server and reworked the environment file to point out all of the right locations).
I'm using the traditional CATSTART program to start CNEXT with our environment file, and when I run this on my workstation (or any other station which does not have R18 installed, for that matter), the CATSTART process runs and quickly disappears without ever loading CNEXT. When I try to run CNEXT alone, I get absolutely nothing.
I'm sort of stuck here, and I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a problem such as this and could provide some insight. I'm personally thinking there's a registry entry or new environment variable I'm just not seeing that might be causing this trouble - any other ideas? |
