Hi all,

I have some parts in progress when the company upgraded to CATIA V5 R18 (From R17). I have some annotations that flipped orientation.  I was told by another user to use the mirror annotations button to fix the problem.  That works temporarily but then the next time you view a caption the annotation are flipped again.

It might be noted that I created geometry (lines and a point) for view axis system creation then created an axis for each view/annotation plane, top, front, etc.

I was told by another user not to use the mirror annotations button as "it messes things up", too late for me I have used it and am not sure what things are messed up or how to fix them.

I have tried flipping the axis orientation to fix the problem, creating new axis systems and new view planes, even tried making a new annotation.  No luck they always seem to flip back the wrong way.

Has anyone out there found a fix for this issue?

We had this issue when we were doing MBD at R17.5.  Hotfix 29 resolved the issue, before that we had to regularly redo dimensions.  What sp of R18 are you using?

We have not migrated any models up to R18.6 yet to see if we have the problem.  Any hotfix in R17.5 should be in R18.6 though.  Will let you know next week if we have an issue.

Are you guys talking about FT&A annotations?

Or, drafting annotations?

(we're getting ready to migrate, so this might be something to add to my list of things to test)
