Well I loaded V5R7 SP2 last Friday thinking this week I would again look at the Thread/Tap and Hole Icon. Well nothing has changed since my last posting of August 30, 2001.

The function still doesn't work the way it should.

I have placed the units in the top row, to the right of the values, with no units at all, and formatted the cells, all with no success.

When I create the Excel spread sheet with these values
Nominal Diameter = 6.35
Pitch = 1.27
Minor Diameter = 4.15036

What I get is the correct values of
Nominal Diameter = .250
Pitch = .05
Minor Diameter = .16340

A software as good as CATIA V5 is a person shouldn't have to cheat the program to get what he or she wants. I guess I will have to wait a little longer to do some hardware.

Bye for Now
