I'm loading V5R7sp1 on a WIN2000 client. I create an environment called "JCI_GLOBAL" with a MODE option of "Global" and "JCI_USER" with a MODE option of "User" via the GUI "Environment Editor V5R7".

The "JCI_USER" file is created in the CATEnv directory under my current users C:\Documents and Settings\...\...

The "JCI_GLOBAL" file is created in the CATEnv directory under the "All Users" C:\Documents and Settings\...\...

For each ENV created above, a desktop icon has been created, and CATIA will function properly when executing either one.

I have moved both CATEnv directories to a network mapped drive, and have edited the desktop icons to point the "-direnv" to the new network mapped location (which is available to the client machine).

For "JCI_USER" I edit the the JCI_USER.txt file in the new location and point to the DOCS on a network drive. I open CATIA and all is well. Next I edit the JCI_USER.txt file and point the "CATReferenceSettingPath" to the network mapped drive and path of standard . Again I start CATIA and all is well. I exit and all is well. I start again, this time calling up a CATPart. When I exit CATIA after calling up a CATPart, I get a msgbox popup error:

DDE Server Window:CNEXT.exe Application Error

The instruction at 0x66001317 referenced memory at 0x50505a4f "The memory could not be read.

The interesting thing is, I installed 40+ clients off of a Ghost Image where I installed catiaV5R7sp1 the same way, but created the CATReferenceSettings for the first time then, opposed to just pointing to existing ones now. Any idea why I'm getting this memory error exiting from catia after reading and working successfully in a CATPart.

Thanks in advance.
