Hi All

I am having some trouble getting Smarteam to work on my machine and think that I have identified what the problem is but wonder if anyone else has come across it and may know of a work around. I have a dual processor (P4) machine with lots (2Gb) of memory and i think that it is either the dual processors or the memory that makes the SmartVault server crash when it tries to start. All I get is a grey box with an ok button and an exclamation mark on startup. I know that i am running it right as i have an otherwise identical machine (win 2k V5R7 by the way) with only a single processor and 512Mb memory and it works fine.

Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Peter!!!!
I have installed the Vault server in a PC with 2 Processors P4 500 MHz each. The first time I installed I had no problems, although now I am having some but I think that they have nothing to do with the processors. Therefor I can tell you that It is possible to install the vault server in a dual processor PC without doin anything special.

Best regards!!!!

Hi again,

Sorry but the p4 processors are 1700 Mhz each, not 500 Mhz as I told you before.
