Hi,
since "CATIA V5R8" GA to "V5R9 SP3" IBM changed the documentation for a vault server installation for several times:
For CATIA V5R8 GA (Smarteam 4004) it was recommended to install CATIA on the vault server and to use the tool SetServiceDependency to deinstall dependency.
For V5R8 Sp2 (Smarteam 4005 + HF20) it was no longer recommended to install CATIA on the vault server.
For V5R8 Sp4,5,6 up to V5R9 it was recommended again to install CATIA on the vault server (really funny) and to have it installed before smarteam and to have available a proper teampdm license. It was no longer recommended to use SetServerDependency.
Does anybody know exactly what is needed to run vault server without a dongle? Does it really depend on the Servicepack ? I can not believe that.
