Hi everybody,

Is there any possibility to save email from outlook etc. to SmarTeam simply?
I think I don't need save mail to doc format an check in, but just link or save on few procedure?

I am also interested in ways to get outlook emails saved into smarteam. We want to save emails about a part or assembly within a project. The emails do not originate within smarteam, but within outlook.

It seems laborious to save the email as a text document and then use Word to save it in SmarTeam.

 

Is there an easier way?

I know that xLMSolutions has a addon product that will allow you to do this. You can see mention of it at http://www.xlmsolutions.com/solutions.html

I would echo that the xLM solution is the only one I've ever seen referenced. The guys there used to work for SmarTeam and wrote their solution. You could write the message out as a text file and link that file, but it would be an awkward solution without some programming. I know there is are books on writing Add-ons for Outlook (I have a couple), but it isn't easy.
