Hi,

we installed VPM 1.6 PTF 9 with V5R18 sp3.  When I try to create a V5 document using Source - Copy from, I have the following error :
"The creation of a V5 document from a file is forbidden.  Load the V5 document in CATIAV5 and create it with CATIAV5 as Source."

Is it something new in VPM 1.6, is there a setting that we can change to allow the Copy from ??

FYI, I got an answer from IBM / DS :

Create & save with copy from will be forbidden for a V5 representation starting from VPM1.6PTF9
An error message will be displayed in VPM during create and save if a V5 representation is selected with copy from as source.

About the way to create 'sample' V5 representations in batch, R&D suggests you to go to the CAA documentation (3D PLM PPR Hub Open
Gateway / CATIA - ENOVIA VPM V4 Interoperability / File Based Importing Batch).
You will find a use case "CAAPsnUseCase1" which explains how to create a V5 batch which will import the V5 file document to VPM.
