Hello,

my question is simple : What will happen to all the specific developements I have invested in for CV5 ? (Doc templates, UDF, macros, VBscripts, CAA....)

I've heard that the single "CATProduct" will not exist anymore (maybe I'm wrong), does that mean that all the application running of these ones will have to be put in trash ?

What will happen the CV5 APIs ? Could I implement my CAA devs in V6 easily?

I'm affraid that all the customizations we made in our CV5 environement will be a waste of time and money.

Thanks for the reply

You mean like those we did in V4?

The CATProduct, CATPart, CATAnalysis, and CATProcess no longer exist Everything is stored in a database based on MatrixOne Technology.

I understand your concern and would like to echo it - we have a lot of investment here and do not want to loose it.

I believe that everything will be 3Dxml.  I don't know what the actual extension will be.

Yes Jim,
exactely like those we did in V4.
For me, DS is now the "Microsoft" of CAD/PLM systems and I can't stand anymore to be an ostage.
Your help would be valuable .......
