| DPC-STL SW: Strategic and Working |
|
Remi Gonel, Dassault Systèmes
Tom Weckbacher, Gulfstream Aerospace
During this session, uniquely dedicated to sheetmetal, the current status and the development strategy of CATIA products related to design and manufacturing of sheetmetal parts will be presented. The session will focus on the review of the latest available version of CATIA (V5R18) for sheetmetal applications, with demonstrations. Both break formed sheetmetal parts for F&A and E&E Industries as well as Hydro formed sheetmetal parts for the Aerospace industry will be addressed, since the corresponding CATIA V5R18 products contain particularly important breakthroughs in capabilities and performances. Next, attendees will be given the opportunity to express, gather, and prioritize requirements relevant to the design and manufacturing of sheetmetal parts. Dassault Systèmes will also further present the stretegic trends for future releases.

| DPC-EME-S: Electro-Mechanical Engineering - Strategy (Vision of the Future) |
|
Timothy Suhr, The Boeing Company
Laurent Bianchi, Dassault Systemes
Electromechanical integration is one of the key advantages to the CATIA & ENOVIA V5 PLM solutions, with CATIA V5 electrical applications using F.E.M. based technology (FLEX) for realistic harness shape modeling enabling to reduce the gap between virtual and real designs for 3D electrical wire harnesses. V5R18 increase the productivity of CATIA Electrical users with new dedicated features and KnowledgeWare functions for design validation in 3D wire harness routing and integrated 3D Formboard / 2D harness documentation production. Dassault Systèmes will be covering an update of the strategy with its gold partners V5 products and the enhancements in CATIA Electrical V5R18 products including generative 3D wire harness design from logical specifications. Dassault Systèmes will be giving you a teaser of what's coming in V5 CATIA electrical products for year 2007 (V5R19) in Electrical Harness Design & Flattening as well as Circuit Board Design products.
