COE Discussion Forum
The COE Discussion FORUM consists of several discussion areas that are named by context, such as CATIA V4, CATIA V5, DELMIA, General Discussion, The Academic Community, How is COE Doing?, RUGS (Regional User Groups), V4V5 Migration, CATIA V5 Programming, TeamPDM, ENOVIA, Data Exchange, CADAM/Helix/CCD, AEC & Shipbuilding, QA/Inspection, MFG, KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering).

The Forum Topics are open to public read for the most part, however there are COE Member Only areas. As well, in order to contribute to the discussion, a COE Member must register.

In terms of Replies, the most active area has been CATIA V5 followed by CATIA V5 Programming. CATIA V5 is first in regard to Topics followed by General Discussion.
On the main page of the Forum, there are summary statistics that show totals and recent activity. For instance, the currently most active for the above snapshot was “Creating a Cone” in CATIA V5.
Also, within each forum area, an index provides data such as topic, who started the discussion, the last replay, the number of replies, and the number of views. In the CATIA V5 Programming, a discussion on “Calculating Rotations” has had 13 replies as of mid-June (2007) and 342 views.
COE Forum FAQ
During the past few months, there were several FAQ related threads. The Forum’s “search” facility can be used to get a report on this type of activity.
