Managing The Simulation Processes
SIMULIA SLM accelerates the product development lifecycle by providing timely access to the right information through secure storage specific to simulation processes and data.

Dassault Systèmes recently released SIMULIA SLM, a new product suite dedicated to helping organizations better perform and manage their simulation processes. SIMULIA SLM accelerates the product development lifecycle by providing timely access to the right information through secure storage, and search and retrieval functionality specific to simulation processes and data.

Dassault Systèmes believes shorter product lifecycles, higher costs, stricter regulations and the desire to benefit from a greater number of simulations make it clear that organizations need an effective solution to manage, share and secure their simulation assets. According to the company, the new release delivers capabilities to:

  • Maximize the value of company-generated intellectual property through the capture, reuse and deployment of simulation best practices.
  • Manage all data associated with simulations.
  • Integrate and control the execution of simulation applications.
  • Carry out operations, such as query and version control.
  • Administer access privileges.
  • Perform and review simulations in a distributed, collaborative environment.

SIMULIA SLM is compatible with other simulation authoring applications developed by SIMULIA, Dassault Systèmes, third parties and customers via a Connectors Framework, which enables a diverse set of simulation solutions to be deployed and executed from within the SIMULIA SLM environment. Connectors are currently available for Abaqus Unified FEA, CATIA and a variety of third-party applications, including Nastran, HyperMesh, AcuSolve and STAR-CD. Furthermore, the company says users can easily configure connectors to their specific applications.
