A Look Back at the COE 2017 Automotive Industry Day

Last month, the COE 2017 Automotive Industry Day returned to Michigan and was hosted at Lawrence Technical University. The event, now in its 8th year, is designed to bring a low-cost educational experience to COE members in the automotive industry through a series of hands-on sessions and networking opportunities. Included were three general sessions, 18 breakout sessions, and 20 speakers. Session tracks focused on Design Engineering, Digital Manufacturing, Simulation and Analysis, and the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. New this year was the appearance of the immersive, photo-real, 3D Dassault Systèmes Environments, which brought a unique interactive element to the event. Coming out of the workshop, attendees noted the value of learning from experts, connecting with peers, and gaining a deeper understanding of the tools they currently use, as well as other tools available to aid in the development process.
