I hope you are all looking forward to the 2018 Annual Experience & TechniFair in San Diego. Conference planning is well underway. We have lot of new ideas and an interesting set of hot topics as we move into a new era with COE. As you noticed last year, we rolled out our new brand/logo. We’ve also been working closely with Dassault Systèmes to be the premier user group in North America for nearly all Dassault Systèmes brands covering the many industries they support. COE is expanding in order to grow our user group to reach beyond the industries that many of us would consider our traditional industries such as, aerospace, automotive, consumer goods and industrial equipment. COE is expanding into architecture, life sciences, energy, marine and more.
COE is actively stepping up our game in the academic arena through our partnership with Dassault Systèmes’ academic team. We are planning to enable more students to attend and actively participate in COE year round. Conference planning is well underway to bring fresh content on many new hot topics in the areas of additive manufacturing (3D printing), machine learning, composite design, model based systems engineering and more.
Some of you may have noticed that we now have a non-voting board member position representing the VARs (Value Added Resellers). The board decided to add this position to better understand how to engage with our small to medium users and how to better serve the VAR community with the offerings COE has, and add to them if necessary. Thanks to Dan Dunne for stepping into this new role! We look forward to more exciting things that COE can provide to the small and medium companies using Dassault Systèmes solutions.
Lastly I would like to remind you all about the great year round activities we offer to you such as monthly Ask the Experts, the Forum, RUGs (Regional User Groups), Automotive workshop, and many others. Take advantage of your membership and get involved. COE is always looking for committed volunteers, because it is for you and run by you.
