Arizona CATIA Exchange (ACE)
by Larry Gauthier, Motorola, Inc.
The Arizona group, Arizona CATIA Exchange (ACE), has met twice this year. The first meeting, the kick-off meeting, was Jan. 31st and the second meeting was May 9th. The first meeting was to see how much interest we had for forming a group and we had V5 demonstrations by IBM. At the second meeting we choose a group name and had user presentations on their experiences with V5.

Our next meeting will be in Sept., date to be determined. We are hoping V5R7 will be available by then so its new features can be shown. We will probably hold our meetings shortly after V5 releases, as this is where the user interest is.

Our large user base, Honeywell, is in a holding pattern waiting for the GE merger to materialize. There is 'unsubstantiated' speculation that their CAD tool could change, so their user interest is low at this time.
