Acting Locally
Great Lakes COE Launches Web Site
In breaking news from the regional front, The GLACOe organization now has a new home web site. Hosted and sponsored by The AutoWeb, the Web site (http://www.glacoe.org) contains contact information, agendas, meeting schedules, maps, FAQs, and of course minutes from past meetings. Stop by and visit us on the Web site, and at the same time register for subscription notification of events and meeting notices.
The next regularly scheduled meeting is on July 17, 2001 and will enjoy the presence of many industry experts. Highlights for this meeting will be a knowledge ware introduction. More details will be presented in depth at a seminar that afternoon given by Dassault Systemes. Lunch will be provided for those pre-registering for the event, and will be sponsored by Logicad3d/Labtec.
We are especially honored to feature guest speaker, Raymond Barerra, from the IBM Austin facility. Raymond will be presenting information on the state of workstation graphics, and their effect on performance, and will give specific recommendations on how to improve graphic displays.
DaimlerChrysler representatives will be in attendance to talk about their latest status with respect to software updates, CATIA V5, and resident project tables. To wrap up the morning session, Ken Kinzman from DaimlerChrysler will be presenting topics and experiences with DMU.
Don't forget to register for the afternoon session so that we can get a good idea of how many people will be there. Visit the http://www.glacoe.org Web site for further details.
