by Peter Van de Bogert
COW (CATIA Operators of Wisconsin) will be holding their next meeting June 19, 2001 at IBM, downtown Milwaukee. The agenda is still in process, but should be on the COE Web site by the first week of June. http://www.coe.org/resources/other.cfm
Proposed agenda items:
- Getting ready for V5 while using V4
- Solid model Optimization
- Electronic model checking
- CATIA V5R6 update
Arizona CATIA Exchange (A.C.E.)
A.C.E. is an Arizona regional CATIA User Group that is open to anyone interested in the use of CATIA. We are a non-structured organization whose purpose is to present product and services information related to CATIA.
Our next meeting will be in September 2001. Details to be announced in August.
May 9th meeting highlights:
We decided on the group's name. Colleen Kennedy from Krebs Engineers suggested the name Arizona CATIA Exchange and after some brief discussion of other names it was unanimously agreed on.
Greg Davis from Motorola shared some of his V5 experiences with Part Design using patterns. Kevin Soukup from Krebs Engineers shared some Knowledge Ware modeling examples. Dave Knoble, IBM AE, presented the highlights of V5R6. One UNIX and two NT workstations were available for User's use.
COE provided some very nice speaker gifts and items for door prizes along with hand out literature
