COE Academia Program a Great Success at Fall 2001

The fall COE was a great success for the educational community within COE. Attendance for the Academic track sessions was outstanding as were the presentations. It is becoming apparent that industry is taking notice of what academic institutions are doing with CATIA particularly where V4 to V5 migration is concerned.

Partnerships between academic institutions have been formed and seem to be yielding good early results. This will accomplish at least two objectives. First, industry will be able to take advantage of the inquisitive nature of typical college students in regard to the software's capabilities; and second, a generation of highly trained and motivated students will be available for industry to tap as well prepared resources.
