-Anark Core use of Dassault API’s to enable extraction of accurate CATIA FTA
based MBD data that results in publishing high-fidelity 3D MBE documents
Attendees will leave this session with an understanding of how advanced Model
Based Enterprise processes and solutions enabled Hydro-Québec to become
much more efficient in creating, documenting and communicating their complex
hydroelectricity solutions.

Session Description:  Hydro-Québec has been working closely with Anark Corporation to deploy and
refine a successful Model Based Enterprise publishing solution that enables
Hydro-Québec to transition from legacy 2D drawing based systems of
communication.
This presentation will review how Hydro-Québec applied this automated 3D PDF
transformation and publishing platform to create interactive 3D Model Based
electronic documentation from their CATIA V5 MBD mockups.
These 3D PDF documents comply with the legal requirements of the Ordre des
ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ the self-regulatory body that governs Quebec's
55,000 professional engineers), including electronic signature and long term
archival requirements.
The easy-to-interpret, dynamic 3D documents enable Hydro-Québec to deliver
Model Based Definition mockups of civil engineering structures that are more
accessible to other divisions and represent legal deliverables for request for
proposals and build or overhaul planning.
Hydro-Québec’s solution offers an alternative to traditional 2D drawings or
proprietary formats for an assortment of hydroelectricity projects they execute
such as large scale dams, valves, cranes, water intake systems, power plants,
substations and more that are modeled in CATIA V5.
