Session Description:  Manufacturing of Composite structures can still be challenging when striving to reach excellence in the quality, to build as designed, and maintain repeatable processes with human interactions. New generation of software combined with shop-floor equipment can provide a mechanism for achieving these challenges.
This presentation will demonstrate a recently developed integrated workflow; where the 3D Composites design data can be transferred seamlessly into a Nesting and Material Management solution, for optimizing material waste while speeding up the Kits preparation time. Additionally the 3D Composites design data can be directly transferred into a Laser Projection system assisting the operators during the draping operation, and ensuring repeatability and consistency when using the Kits prepared from the Nesting software.
